    Ofsted Reports

On Monday March 7th the school was inspected by Ofsted, exactly 6 years (the maximum it can be) since our last inspection.  The official results of the inspection can be viewed by clicking on the appropriate link further down this page.  A brief accessment can be seen below:

Ofsted 2005

Whilst we have areas to develop, our strengths are considerable.  I understand from the (brief) oral feedback that on the Ofsted scale of 1 - 7 (1 = excellent, 2 = very good, 3 = good, 4 = satisfactory … 7 = special measures) we have been rated overall as 2 (very good).  The Ofsted report, I’m told, will open with: “This is a very good school with some excellent features.”  We are pleased to be so described.

I’m pleased to say that School Ethos, Pupils’ Attitudes, Spirituality and Enrichment Activities are rated as “outstanding”.  Nearly half of all lessons observed were judged to be very good or excellent; 84% of lessons judged good or better.

I can only say a massive thank you to everyone concerned.  There cannot be another Headteacher blessed with better colleagues (teaching and non-teaching), pupils, students, parents and governors.  Thank you for your outstanding support and for sending so many delightful and hard-working pupils to Ripley.
